Paula Yvonne Hamblen, 70, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away July 29, 2018. She was born November 15, 1947 in Bedford, Indiana to Albert Edward Abbinett and Radney Melvina (Tatlock) Abbinett. Paula loved to garden, bead, and shop at Goodwill.

She also enjoyed going to the beach and playing cards. Paula’s real passion was her family. She loved when all of her family was together.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Albert Abbinett Jr., and George Abbinett. She is survived by her husband of 51 years “Butch” Alferd Hamblen; daughters Robin Hamblen (Danny Pound) and Shannon Strain (Shawn); son Benjamin Hamblen (LeeAnn); grandchildren Eli Buntin, Ethan Hamblen (Amber), Haley Strain, Katlyn Matherley (David), Luke Cowden, Joseph Hamblen, and Lauren Hamblen; great grandchildren Wyatt Hamblen, Weston Hamblen, Warren Hamblen, Otto Fortner, Bentley Akers, and Brody Akers; brother Robert (Cassie) Abbinett. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 6:00p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804.

Bishop Darren Wilkinson will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00p.m. until service time. In honoring Paula’s wishes, cremation has been chosen after services.
