Obituary of Paul Brown Paul Daniel Brown, age 91, Siler City died Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Siler City Center. Mr. Brown was born in Chatham County on October 6, 1927, the son of William Daniel and Fannie Mae (Harris) Brown. He was a retired security guard for Townsend’s Inc. and a farmer.

He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, a member of Mount Vernon United Methodist Church. Paul taught school in Georgia and was a graduate of Elon College. Paul was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by one daughter: Margaret Louise Collins; grandchildren, Haley Collins and Herschel Collins, IV; sister, Margaret B. Smith, Greensboro; brother, Frank Brown of Lincoln, NE; nephew, Chris; niece, Judy Smith; special friends, Susie Lemons, Jeri Powell and Michelle Peele. The family will receive friends Monday, October 15, 2018 from 10:00-10:45 AM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will follow on Monday at 11:00 AM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home Chapel, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City with Josh Conrad officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Vernon United Methodist Cemetery, with military rites by the Randolph County Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mount Vernon United Methodist Church, 3631 Mt. Vernon-Hickory Mountain Road, Siler City, NC 27344.
