Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle passed away peacefully on Friday, February 15, 2019, with his family by his side. He was 74 years old. Paul Juarez was born on February 11, 1945 in Herne, Texas to the late Felipe and Manuela (Romo) Juarez.

He married the love of his life and beloved soulmate, Sara Ramirez in January 1973; she preceded him in death on January 30, 2017. Paul worked for General Motors; retiring after 40 years of service. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council #593.

Paul loved his black coffee, going to the casino, and traveling with his wife throughout the US and Mexico. Paul enjoyed both Mexican dancing and music, golfing, and fishing. He was also an avid football fan often cheering for the Michigan State Spartans and the Detroit Lions.

Above all he loved and cherished his children and grandchildren. Surviving are four sons and four daughters, Paul Juarez, Jr.; Felipe Juarez; Richard (Cynthia) Juarez; Cynthia (Tomas) Betancourt; Rachel (Antonio) Aguilar; Angelina (Brian) Parcham; Christina (Chae) Riley; and Tino (Claudia) Ramirez; 24 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, RosaLee (Jesus) Flores; and a brother, Jimmy Juarez. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie Juarez and Jesus “Jessie” Juarez; and an infant sister, Juanita Juarez. A funeral liturgy will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2019 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State Street. Rev.

Fr. Richard Bokinskie will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow at Mt.

Olivet Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit the family at the church on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Diabetes Association.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road.
