OBITUARY Peggy H. Stephens July 22, 1944 – September 11, 2018 Peggy H. Stephens, age 74, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Tuesday September 11, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Peggy was born July 22, 1944 to Lucille Smith Henson and Rev. Robert Henson in Cartersville, GA.

Peggy was a very special women. She was a loving wife and a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved to shop, she loved Christmas but most of all, she loved her family.

Peggy enjoyed the outdoors, spending a lot of time camping. Peggy retired from Bell South in 1995 after 31 1/2 years of service . Peggy was preceded in death by; father Rev.

Robert Henson and mother Lucille Smith Henson. Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Ernest “Ernie” Stephens; daughter Lorie ( Sam) Stephens Owens; brother Bobby (Faye) Henson, sister Doris Hicks and sister Dian (Barry) Haney; granddaughter Natalie Owens and grandson Nicholas Owens. Several nieces and nephews also survive to cherish Peggy’s memory.

A funeral service for Mrs. Stephens will be conducted Friday, September 14, 2018 at two o’clock in the afternoon in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with the Rev. Lloyd Ferguson and Mr. Jimmy Gainey officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be: Gary Keys, Nicholas Owens, Clarence Stephens, Barry Haney, Neil Gamble and Bill Prather.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Sam and Natalie Owens. Interment will follow the service at Sunset Memory Gardens Cartersville, GA. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 13, 2018 from six o’clock in the evening until eight at Owen Funeral Home.
