Peggy Nunley Hilliard, age 49, resident of Somerville, Tennessee, departed this life Sunday morning, July 29, 2018 at her residence. Funeral Services for Ms. Hilliard will be conducted at 1 P.M. Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. Kevin Treadway officiating.

Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery at Laconia. A visitation for Ms. Hilliard will be from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel of Somerville.

Ms. Hilliard was born September 14, 1968 in Pensacola, Florida, the daughter of Betty Jo Johnson Nunley and the late Henry Otis Nunley. She moved with her family at a young age to Tennessee and received her education in Huntingdon, Tennessee. She was of the Baptist faith and was employed as a custodian for a number of years.

Ms. Hilliard enjoyed camping, fishing, singing, dancing, special times with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She cherished the holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. Ms. Hilliard is survived by two daughters, Sharon Branch of Memphis, TN, Tabitha Hilliard of Somerville, TN; her son, Robert Hilliard of Memphis, TN; her mother, Betty Jo Johnson Nunley of Paris, TN; her brother, Henry Otis Nunley, Jr. (Leonna) of Paris, TN five grandchildren, Lillyonna Granados, Nathan Hilliard, Marybella Granados, Natalie Branch, Mariah Branch; and her longtime boyfriend, Jerry Fraser of Somerville, TN.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Tina Marie Nunley and her brother, Dennis Nunley. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Tony Granados, David Fraser, Michael Dunson, Eddie Wilson, Mike Harper and Christopher Carter. The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, 815 Market Street, Galveston, TX 77550.
