Peggy Allyn, age 82, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 11:05 p.m. on Monday, December 17, 2018, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. Peggy was born November 17, 1936, in Akron, OH, to Larry and Margaret (Renshaw) Wetzel. She graduated from Carmi High School.

Peggy received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Evansville and her Master’s Degree from the University of Arizona. She retired from the Veteran’s Administration. Peggy is survived by her daughters, Kim Cooper (Jr) and Laurie Snyder (Joe); sons, Carl Allyn (Cathy) and Mike Brown (Debbie); son-in-law, Dennis Wolf; brother, Jack Wetzel (Mary); 12 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Darwin Allyn in 2012; and daughters, Kay Kahn and Lynn Wolf. Funeral Services and Burial will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, IN.
