Mary Ann (Sproatt) Meyer, age 82, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. Mary Ann was born April 15, 1936, in Anderson, IN to James K. and Catherine B. (Reisinger) Sproatt. She graduated from Mater Dei High School in 1954.

Mary Ann worked as a secretary for 41 years at Whirlpool before retiring in 1997. She loved reading, find-a-word puzzles, professional wrestling, dog shows, and attending auctions. Mary Ann was the past president of No Ruz Grotto Ladies’ Auxillary, enjoyed participating in pet therapy at local nursing homes, and was a Past Worthy High Priestess of White Shrine Humane Society.

She is survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 35 years, Donald Meyer, who passed away in 1993; brothers-in-law, Bobby Meyer, Gary Meyer, and Ray White; sisters-in-laws, Bonnie Brown and Peggy White; and uncle and aunt, Ferree and Lula Sproatt. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Reverend Mark Sirnic officiating.

Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 17, 2018 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL. Memorial Contributions may be made to: Vanderburgh County Humane Society at 400 Millner Industrial Dr, Evansville, IN 47710.
