Jimmie ” Jim” R. Russ, 80, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. Jim was born in Central City, Kentucky on March 24, 1938 to the late James C. and Bonita (Smith) Russ. He retired from Inland Container after 29 years of service.

Jim is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce (Gary) Russ of Newburgh, IN; his children, Steven Russ (Vicki) and Jim B. Russ (Missy) both of Newburgh, IN; sisters, Glenda Gray of Harrisonville,… Read More » MO and,Sheila Goodge (Robert “Bob”) of Santa Claus, IN; granddaughter, Lindsey Martin (Nathan) and great-grandchildren, Faden Glover and Noah Martin. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary Russ. A gathering for family and friends will be held from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave.
