OBITUARY Raymond G. Schaefer January 24, 1941 – December 9, 2018 Raymond G. Schaefer, 77 of Evansville, IN passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018. He was born in Evansville, IN on January 24, 1941 to the late William and Erna (Schmidt) Schaefer. Raymond worked at Ball Plastics for many years before retiring.

He was Deacon on the Church Council at St Paul’s U.C.C. German Township. He participated in classic car shows and won first place in state and second nationally in 4H BBQ competition. He also loved gardening.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Nelda; brothers, Clarence and Earl; son, Stephen. Raymond is survived by his wife Karen M. Schaefer; son, Michael Ray Schaefer; nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at St Paul’s U.C.C. German Township.

Officiated by Pastor Terry Farmer and Rev. Dr. Dennis Davenport, with burial to follow. Friends may visit 4:00-6:00 p.m. Tuesday at Alexander West Chapel and 9:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the Church.
