Obituary for Robert O. Adams Robert O. Adams, 86, of Newburgh passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Primrose Retirement Community. Robert was born July 15, 1932 in Palmyra, IN to the late Robert and Archilee (Higdon) Adams. Bob was in Mater Dei High School’s first graduating class, served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1953-1955.

He retired as Regional Field Superintendent from Otis Elevator Company after 36 years. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Newburgh. Bob enjoyed fishing at Lake Barkley and vacationing with his friends at Panama City Beach, Florida.

He is survived by his daughters, Kathy Heidorn (Scott) of Evansville, Susie Cannon (Dan) of St. Louis, MO and Sara Ellison (John) of Ft. Thomas, KY; grandchildren, Olivia Heidorn, Jacqueline Heidorn, Corey Cannon, Samuel Cannon, Maxwell Cannon, Benjamin Ellison and Megan Ellison; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 53 years, Mary (Ries) Adams, sisters, Blonnie Acton, Judy Reburn, and Karen Humphrey.

Visitation will be 2:00 to 8:00pm Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave. , Evansville, IN and will continue from 9:30 to 10:00am Thursday, December 13, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Rd, Newburgh, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00am at the church with Father John Pfister officiating.

Entombment will be at St. John Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice, 2532 Waterbridge Way, Evansville, IN 47710. The family would like to thank Primrose Retirement Community and Heart to Heart Hospice for their loving care.
