Marlene Jo “Jody” Luffman, age 63, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 8:50 a.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. Jody was born February 23, 1955, in Evansville, IN, to Clarence G. and Myrtis “Evelyn” (Gordon) Helfert. She graduated from Central High School in 1973.

Jody was a very special sister with a very kind heart who always thought of others. Jody is survived by her sisters, Sue Foster, Linda Bollinger (Clete), Margie Luffman, Tammy Helfert-Marx (Billy); nieces and nephews, John, Debbi, Kayla, Eric, Brian, Brent, Mark, Chuck, and David; several great nieces and nephews; and her fur babies, Lucy and Roxy. She is preceded in death her parents and brothers, Clarence “Gene” and Roy Helfert.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, December 14, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Ron Kissel officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 13, 2018 and from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Friday, December 14, 2018 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Freedom Life Center, 4600 N. St. Joseph Avenue, Evansville, IN 47710.
