Obituary for Carol Ann Lukens Carol Ann Lukens, 76, was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 15, 1941, the daughter of Leo and Margaret Tabick. She worked for Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, creating one of the first Physician Assistant programs in the country, the American Institute of Banking in Miami, FL, and Consolidation Coal Company in Evansville, IN. She retired from Wabash Plastics, Inc. as a Human Re Manager in 2007.

After retirement she worked as an independent Human Re consultant for various companies, and was Administrative Assistant at Bodyworks Massage Therapy & Institute. Carol was an active member of Crossroads Christian Church for many years. She served with the Connection Center, Daughters of the King, the Evangelism team, and the church choir.

She was committed to her small prayer group, who became like family to her. She was a member of the Tres Dias Community, a graduate of Leadership Evansville, and was certified as a professional in the Society of Human Re Management. She is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Horace M ”Harry” Lukens III, and her mother and father.

She is survived her brother Leo Tabick, cousin Louise Boojamra (Alice), and by stepchildren H. Melvin Lukens, IV (Stacey), Linda Lukens Grider, Lisa Lukens Boyle (Tom), Laura Lukens Spillman (Mike), Kevin Walterhouse, Karen Walterhouse, and Christopher Walterhouse. Grandchildren Garrett and Nicholas Lukens, Robert “Luke” Grider, Ashley, Emily, Connor and Austin Boyle, Larson and Berkeley Parker, Cathi Walterhouse-Terzolino (Scott) and Zachary Walterhouse. Great-Grandchildren Jacob Walterhouse, Luna Jane Croyle, and Violet Ann Walterhouse.

Also surviving are aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews. Friends Linda and Ed Luker and Goddaughter Hope Luker, Cecile Martin and her children, Thomas Stallings (Stephanie), Leah Rene Martin (Ryan), Nathan Stallings and their children Audrey, Abigail, Evelyn and Calvin Stallings, Eli and Ayla Martin, and Cameron Stallings. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm Friday, December14, 2018 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave.
