Tonya L. (Overton) Gee, 68, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018 at home. Tonya was born in Evansville, Indiana, on August 23, 1950, to the late Frank and Marjorie (Greb) Overton. She was raised by her mother and the late Norman Heerdink.

Tonya retired from State Farm Insurance after 17 years of service. She attended United General Baptist Church when her health permitted. Tonya was involved in nursing home ministry.

Tonya is survived by her husband of ten years, Allen Gee; step-daughter, Stephanie Crandell (Mike); step-son, Jared Gee; brother, Jeffrey Overton; sisters-in-law, Lana Bunner (David) and Letha Deig (Keith); brother-in-law, Larry Gee; two step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Tonya was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Julie Fine.

A celebration of Tonya’s life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave. , Evansville, IN with Pastor Raymond Abbott officiating. Friends may visit from 1:00 PM until service time on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Browning Funeral Home.
