Frances Ann (Martin) Wannemuehler, 88, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. Frances was born in Evansville, Indiana on October 29, 1930 to the late Frederick and Veronica (Marx) Martin. She was a Memorial High School graduate.

Frances worked at Citizens Bank, Sears and Conards. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Frances enjoyed sewing and playing Bridge.

Everyone who knew Frances appreciated her sense of humor and it was passed down to her children and grandchildren. Frances is survived by her sons, Michael Wannemuehler (Yvonne) of Ames, IA, Stephen Wannemuehler (Kathy) of Newburgh, IN, Scott Wannemuehler of Evansville, IN, Brian Wannemuehler (Diane) of Evansville, IN, and Jon Wannemuehler of Evansville, IN; brothers, Norman Martin (Marie) of Champaign, IL and Raymond Martin (Lori) of Plymouth, IN; daughter-in-law, Jo Ann Wannemuehler of St. Charles, MO; sister-in-law, Mary Martin; grandchildren, Michelle Hermann (C.J.), Ashley Gibson (Josh), Jessica Wright (Brannon), Amy, Lindsey Berkesch (George), Bradley (Elizabeth), Travis, Matthew, Shelby and Sam Wannemuehler; step-grandchildren, Krista Spaetti and Katie Carter; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Anna Marie and Joey Gibson and Mara Herrmann; and by many nieces and nephews.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Melvin Joseph Wannemuehler in 2014; son, Kevin Wannemuehler in 2015; her parents; sisters, Mary Freihaut (John) and Virginia Mayhan (Al); and brother, Frederick Martin, Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2301 N. Stockwell Rd, Evansville, IN 47715 with Fr. Zach Etienne and Fr. Ted Tempel celebrating.

Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave. , Evansville, IN 47711 and again from 9:00 AM until service time on Friday at the church.
