Obituary for Mary Jean Holder Mary Jean (Meth) Holder, 86, passed away on Sunday, December 16, at St. Vincent Hospital, Evansville. Jean was born on February 9, 1932 to Paul and Elnora (Klueh) Meth in New Boston, IN. The family moved to Evansville in 1937.
Jean graduated from Memorial High School and attended Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She worked at International Finance, Sears, and retired from Deaconess Hospital after 24 years. She is survived by her daughter, Sherri Chambliss of Evansville; son, Mark Holder of Evansville and daughter, Connie Powless (Roger) of Newburgh; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jo Ann Meth; and nieces and nephews.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harold Meth and his wife Rita; sister, Alice Schaefer and her husband, Bob; brother, Paul Meth; and nephew, Stephen Meth. There will be a private service and viewing for family from 9:00 am -11:00 am Wednesday, December 19 ,2018 at University Nursing and Rehab (formerly Little Sisters of the Poor), 1236 Lincoln Ave. , Evansville, IN with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am with Father Ted Tempel officiating.
