Penny Clark,70 , of Burlington, died Thursday, December 20, 2018, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Born October 26, 1948, in Burlington, IA, she was the daughter of James Henry and Alberta L. DeLong Clark. Penny was a CNA and physical therapy tech for Burlington Care Center for over 18 years.

She had also worked for Sickles Cleaners, U.S. Navy, Marshall’s, Sun Air Care Center in Panorama City, CA, and Laurel Hill Nursing Home in Grant’s Pass, OR. She graduated from Burlington High School in 1966. She later attended Southeastern Community College and graduated with an Associate of Science Degree She was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving from October 1, 1967 until October 1, 1976.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She enjoying spending her time sewing, reading, gardening, and baking; but most of all she loved being with family. Survivors include mother, Alberta L. Clark, daughter, Kathleen (Mike) McRoberts of Mazeppa, MN, brother, Kenneth Mitchell of Mediapolis, sister, Peggy Turner of Dalton, GA, niece, Michelle (Brian) Clarke; great nephew Harrison and great niece Danica of Quincy, IL and cousins, Dan and Joyce Brehm.

She was preceded in death by her father and step-father, Stanley Lyle Brehm. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory. The memorial service for Mrs. Clark will be 6:30 PM Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.

Full military honors will be rendered by the Burlington Area Veterans Honor Guard. A memorial has been established.
