Perry Gene Lacy Perry Gene Lacy, 81, passed away December 22nd, 2018. Born in Canton, GA, October 25, 1937, he was the son of the late William Thomas and Emma Whitener Lacy. Mr. Lacy, served in the US Air force and loved technology.

He later was employed for Lockheed Martin as a planner till 1971 changing professions to become an electrical engineer for Norfolk Southern Railroad, retiring as a Supervisor/foreman at the NFS RR in Columbia, SC. Perry was an avid golfer and sports fan. He enjoyed watching football and baseball, notably the Atlanta Falcons and South Carolina Gamecocks football teams, and the Atlanta Braves baseball team.

He also enjoyed watching NASCAR racing. More importantly though, he was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will surely be missed by all. He is survived by his wife of 60 years; Shirley Faye Walker Lacy, and daughter; Patricia Lacy Stewart-Hamby, grandchildren; John, Melody, Jason, Brittany, Megan, and Michael, 10 great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law; Carol Lacy, and sister-in-law; Debbie Lacy, and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son; William Clinton Lacy, daughters; Tracei Emm Lacy Ortiz and Deborah Jean Lacy, grandson; Anthony Charles Lacy, son-in-law; Robert (Ted) Hamby, and brother; William Patrick Lacy. A memorial service for Mr. Lacy will be held at a later date at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
