Peter L. Spore, 66, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Sunday, June 10, 2018. He was born on December 10, 1951 in Sandusky to Janet (Pfeiffer) and Leland Spore. He was a 1970 graduate of Sandusky High School and attended Ohio University.

He worked at Herman’s Furniture for over 28 years and retired from Firelands Regional Medical Center. A true music lover, Peter played in a band in his “younger years”. He loved seeing live music – His huge collection of concert tickets is a testimony to how much he loved music!

He enjoyed Cleveland sports, Ohio State, and nature walks. But above all else, Peter valued his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. Not even the distance could keep his love from them.

Peter is survived by his two children, Melanie (Bradley) Hill, of Crestwood, KY, and Nicholas (Rebekah Beran) Spore, of Jeffersonville, IN; grandchildren, Adelaide and Elliott; mother, Janet Spore, of Sandusky; brothers, Jan (Ann) Spore, of Cincinnati, and Richard (Tracy) Spore, of Sandusky; partner and mother of his children, Susan Barnard; of Crestwood, KY; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Leland Spore; and sister, Leslie Spore Wisman. Viewing will be from 3-6 p.m. on Friday, June 15 in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave.

, Sandusky. A memorial service will begin at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 16 with Chaplain Mel Sayler officiating. Condolences and gifts of sympathy may be shared with the family by visiting toftfuneralhome.com.
