Diane M. (Kempf) Majoy June 26, 1969 – June 7, 2018 Diane M. (Kempf) Majoy, 48, residing in Sandusky, passed away Thursday evening, June 7, 2018 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a 3 1/2 year war with non-small cell lung cancer, also known as non-smokers lung cancer. Diane was born on June 26, 1969 in Bucyrus, OH to the late Herbert and Eileen (Durnwald) Kempf. She was an intervention specialist for third through sixth grades at Sandusky City Schools, and had been teaching for 27 years. Diane served as head volleyball coach from 1998-2003. She was a member of the Athletic Hall of Fame at both Buckeye Central and Bluffton University for both basketball and volleyball.

Diane was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed working on her cottage, going on vacations to the beach, being a sports mom and playing volleyball.

The biggest joy in Diane’s life was being a mother to her children and watching them grow up, and spending time with her family and friends. Diane is survived by her husband, Darren Majoy, whom she married on July 22, 1994. She is also survived by her three sons, Trenton, Jason and Nathan Majoy all at home; sisters, Barbara (Paul) Forster of New Washington, Patricia (Randy) Brown of Norwalk, Marilyn (Dennis) Kempf-LePore of Phoenix, AZ and Janet (Grant) Myers of Huron; brothers, Michael (Kim) Kempf of Sycamore, OH, Richard (Laurie) Kempf of Fort Wayne, IN, Gary Kempf of Shelby and Douglas (Marilyn) Kempf of Ontario, OH; mother-in-law, Sherry Majoy of Sandusky; sister-in-law, Kelly (Jeff) Ceccacci of Ann Arbor, MI and fifteen nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Monday, June 11, 2018 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 10:00 am at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Ave.

, Sandusky. Father Jeff Walker will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
