Tanner Reace Francek, 22, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly after a workplace accident on Monday, July 16, 2018. He was born on December 7, 1995 in Sandusky to James, Jr. and Laura Brooks Francek. A 2014 graduate of Perkins High School, Tanner worked for C&C Landscaping.

He loved being outdoors: camping, fishing, urban-exploring, and working at his job. He loved his dogs, Remy and Ruby, and will be missed by a host of dear friends. Spending time with them, and his family, was what Tanner loved most.

Tanner is survived by his parents, James Francek, Jr. and Laura Brooks Francek; brothers, Christian and Jared Francek; grandmother, Margaret Frost; great-aunts, Elaine Christopoulos and Margaret McCreery; uncles, Danny Brooks and Mark Miciak; aunts and uncles, John and Heather Francek, Darlene and Patrick Noonan; numerous cousins and his life-long friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Lamar Brooks, Bob Iden, and James Francek, Sr.; grandmother, Ruth Jagusch; and aunt, Cindy Miciak. Friends may call on Monday, July 23 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave.

, Sandusky. Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Venice Road Baptist Church, 3814 Venice Rd. , Sandusky.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Erie County Dog Pound, 2900 Columbus Ave. , Sandusky, OH 44870 or to the Erie County Health Dept. , Detox.
