Obituary for Philip Mitchell Smith Philip Mitchell Smith, 62, of Charleston a loving father and grandfather passed away Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018 at Hubbard Hospice House West, South Charleston after a short illness. He was a meat cutter for Kroger’s and had attended Mill Creek Baptist Church, Ripley, WV.

Philip was a family man who was very supportive of his children, attending sporting events and spending as much time as possible with his children. His grandson, Braylen was the light of his world, and enjoyed spending time with him, and always playing with his grandpas flash light. Philip enjoyed farming, working horses and had a green thumb for growing things.

He is survived by his son, Caleb Nathanael Smith, daughter, Paige Diana Smith; brothers, Joe Smith, Michael Douglas Smith; grandson, Braylen Watson. Memorial service will be held at a later date at, Mill Creek Baptist Church, Ripley with Pastor Robert “Bob” Keen officiating. Online condolences may be sent to www.
