Rose – Philip R., 80, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2019 at Conemaugh Medical Center. Born on April 6, 1938 in Portage, son of Andrew Foster and Sadie (Graham) Rose. Preceded in death by his parents; sons, William Rodney and Robert Foster, and brother-in-law, Harrold Bloom.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Doris J. (Snyder) Rose; daughters, Barbara J. married to Robert Durica, South Fork, Karen S. married to Steve Fedorko, Portage, and Elizabeth A. Alter, South Fork; grandchildren, William Rose Jr., Taylor Rose, Haven Rose, Meaghan Hacker, Carrie, Michael, and Katie Durica, Amanda Yakicic, Thomas McVicker III, Sarah McVicker, Clayton McVicker, Anthony Urban, Brennen Keating, Sierra Roberts, Kristopher Hogue, Alexandra Hale, Samantha Fedorko, and Ashley Vogel; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth Bloom, Elton and Mary Ann Johnson, Pittsburgh; many sisters and brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Philip was a 1956 graduate of Adams High School. He was employed at Market Basket in the produce department for several years and later retired as a driver for the former Weyandt Produce, Ogletown.

After retiring, he went to work for Alleghenies Unlimited Care Providers as van driver. He was a member of Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren. Philip enjoyed collecting cars, listening to Elvis, and watching sports.

He had a great sense of humor and loved his family dearly. Philip will be greatly missed by all. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Monday at the Harris Funeral Home, with the Rev.

Daniel Rhodes officiating. Interment will be at Richland Cemetery. Online condolences may be posted to www.
