Philip Jace Abeyta Philip Jace Abeyta, 57, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly in his sleep and was welcomed as a good and faithful servant into the arms of his Heavenly Father on July 25, 2018. He was born in Burley, Idaho on September 15, 1960 to Phillip and Ruby Clark Abeyta. He graduated from Ben Lomond High.

He joined the Navy and proudly served for 11 years. He married his childhood sweetheart, Carol Morfin, on June 12, 1982. They were blessed with two children.

Philip worked for Williams International for 30 plus years. He had a fire in his heart for Christ and was a member of the New Hope Assembly of God Church and had many ministries in the church. He was a Jack of All Trades, shared his talent of music often, and loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

He always had a smile on his face and a big hug for anyone he met. He is survived by his wife, Carol; his children: Jovana (Mike) Tapia and David (Xochitl Lopez) Abeyta; 7 grandchildren: Mika, Maia, Mikiya, Faith, Jasper, Karissa, and Miguel; 1 great-grandchild, Delaney, and another on the way; and his parents: Ruby and Ron Toole and his dearly loved second set of parents, Jose and Domitilia Morfin. He is also survived by his siblings: Randee Toole, DanNelle (Robert) Becker, Skyla Toole, and James (Audrey) Florez; several nieces and nephews; and his grandmother, Nola Toole.

He is preceded in death by his father, Phillip; his brother; Brent Abeyta; his grandparents: Jacinto and Helen Abeyta, grandpa, Archie Toole, and a dear friend, Mary Florez. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Canyon Road Assembly of God, 1390 Canyon Rd, Ogden. Viewings will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 3, 2018, and on Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m., both at the church.
