Obituary for Ione Payton Ione Payton, 83, passed away May 6, 2018 at Ogden Regional Medical Center in South Ogden, UT. She was born March 23, 1935 in Ogden, UT to Leslie Herman and Elizabeth Hortence Henderson Phipps. She married Robert Payton and to this union they were blessed with 3 Children.

They later divorced. She met her Soul Mate Ed Suter and they enjoyed 35 years together until he passed away in 1999. She grew up in Ogden and attended Ogden Schools and graduated from Ogden High School.

She worked as a Bookkeeper for many years at Cream O’ Weber Dairy and Farr’s Ice Cream. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ione loved to crochet blankets which she donated to the Riverdale Senior Center where she volunteered for many years.

She enjoyed painting ceramics, writing music, and working in her flower garden. Her favorite pastime was out camping with Ed. She had a fun-loving feisty personality.

She is survived by her Children: Michael Leslie Payton, Toni Moore (Kraig), Johnny Bret Payton; 9 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Infant Daughter: Toni Lynn Payton; Siblings: Ronald, Donald, Lloyd and Leroy Phipps and Verla May Miller and Great Grandson Wesley Payton. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11:00a.m. at Provident Funeral Home 3800 Washington Blvd.

, Ogden, UT. Viewing will be held from 9:30-11:00a.m. prior to the services. Interment will follow in the Ogden City Cemetery.
