Obituary for Jerry Gilbert Duran Jerry Gilbert Duran, 65, passed away at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, UT on July 20, 2018 with family at his side. He was born April 3, 1953 in Alamogordo, NM to Albert and Anna Almengor Duran and was 1 of 8 children born to this union. He married Berlinda Duran on August 22, 1969 in El Paso, TX and to this union they were blessed with 3 children.

They later divorced but remained Best Friends. He later met Brandy Bybee and from this relationship they were blessed with 2 children. He grew up in Alamogordo, NM where he received his elementary education and attended Alamogordo High School.

The family moved to Ogden, UT where he has resided for the last 40 years. He was a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator and worked for various large construction companies over the years. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a special relationship with God.

Jerry loved to spend time in the “Great Outdoors”. He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. He played the guitar and had a great voice that used to entertain many in a band he organized years ago.

He was a Cowboy at heart at enjoyed wearing he western wear. He had a contagious laugh and a great sense of humor. He was a good-hearted person and tried to help others whenever he could, and his favorite pastime was spending time with his Grandchildren as much as he could.

His Sons were his life and his Daughter was his Angel. He will be missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his Children: Jerry Gilbert Duran (Donna), Christopher Albert Duran, Andrea Isabelle Kennedy (Craig Steven), Joseph Duran, JD Duran; 12 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.

The family would like to thank all those that have offered love and support at this time. The family would appreciate donations be made to help with the funeral costs. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 11:00a.m. at the Riverdale 2nd Ward LDS Chapel 5500 South 1175 West Riverdale, UT.

Viewings will be held Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 6:00-8:00p.m. at Provident Funeral Home 3800 Washington Blvd. , Ogden, UT and Thursday from 9:30-10:30a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will follow in the Ogden City Cemetery.
