Cheryl Diane Bartlett June 1, 1945 – July 19, 2018 “Gone Cruising” “l was given the gift of life, and now I have to give it back. This is hard, but l was a lucky woman, who led a lucky existence, and for this I am grateful”. Cheryl Diane Bartlett, 73, passed away July 19th after a valiant 15 year battle with breast cancer.

She was born to Chester Young and Lorraine Thompson Young in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She graduated from Bonneville High School in 1963 and attended Westminster College and Stevens Henegar College. She married Richard Hendricks in 1967 and later divorced.

She married Richard “Tiny” Bartlett in 1981 and later divorced. She worked for the Federal Government as a regional accountant/auditor from 1967 to 2010- She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Association of Government Accountants, and 2 Eastern Star Chapters. She is survived by her daughter Melissa (Jody) Nielsen of South Ogden, and son Jason Bartlett of GreenRiver, Wyoming, 5 granddaughters, Krista, Mackenzie, Jodi, Shaylee, and Breanna Nielsen, 2 grandsons Kyler and Kanon Bartlett, and 2 great grandsons, Braylon, and Shaddix.

She is also survived by 2 sisters, Teri Bohn of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Jill (Jim) Roberts of Roy, Utah, and a brother David (Carla) of Phoenix, Arizona. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her special granddaughter Nichole and her parents.

A special thanks to Dr. Vincent Hansen and his staff, Hearts for Hospice, family, and friends for their love and support. She has requested to be cremated and have her ashes and those of her faithful companion Lucie Lou be scattered in the Pacific Ocean. There will be a memorial service held Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Myers Mortuary 5865 S 1900 W, Roy, Utah, 11:00 AM.
