Phillip E. Pennington, age 81, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019. He was born on April 11, 1937 to Lacey and Mary (Waters) Pennington in Fremont, Michigan. At age 12, Phillip began work in the paint & coating field.

After graduating Fremont High School, he became vice-president of Pennington Bros Inc. for over 35 years. He next became Chief Executive Officer of Star 10 Paint Stripper in Muskegon Hts. until late 2018.

He had a love of airplanes. Sitting in the Spruce Goose’s cockpit for his 80th birthday was a lifelong dream for ‘Phid’. He is survived by his step-children, Dee Wenk and Theodore (Zoya) Wenk; sister, Mary Ann Schiedel; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Earl L. & James W. Pennington. Per Phillip’s wishes, no services will be held. Arrangements by The Lee Chapel, 231-798-1100.
