OBITUARY PHYLLIS K SLIKE February 12, 1929 – December 11, 2018 Phyllis K. Slike, 89, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2018 at Paramount Senior Living Facility, Fayetteville, PA. She was born on February 12, 1929 in Waynesboro, PA to Blaine and Marguerite (McCarney) Kauffman. Phyl graduated from Quincy High School and held numerous jobs including at Frick Company in Waynesboro and at the South Mountain Restoration Center, South Mountain, PA where she was a Clerk Typist.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, tending her flowers, painting pictures with watercolors and oils, all forms of knitting and sewing projects and traveling for vacations. Most of all she loved being with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Phyl was the oldest of nine children including Jane Thomas, South Mountain; Blaine Kauffman, Jr., Houston, TX; Jackie Kauffman, South Mountain; Sally Mumma, Waynesboro; Nancy Valentine, Waynesboro; Susie Mealor, Atlanta, GA.

; John Kauffman, South Mountain; and James Kauffman, South Mountain. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Jackie. Phyl is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Max B. Slike, Fayetteville, PA; son Dr. Samuel B. Slike and wife Roslyn, Havertown, PA; son Richard L. Slike and wife Katie, Lincoln, Maine; granddaughter, Jennifer, husband Mark Fifer and three great grandsons, Grady, Duke and Will, Malvern, PA; granddaughter Codi, and husband Jason Eremita, Plover, Wisconsin; grandson Andrew B. Slike and wife Elaina, Hatfield, PA; and grandson Levi Slike, wife Michelle, and great granddaughter Eliana, Bangor, Maine.

A private graveside service is planned.
