Obituary for Phyllis R Kendzierski Phyllis R. Kendzierski, 94, of Willoughby, passed away Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, at Altercare of Mentor. Born May 29, 1924, in Cleveland, she had lived in Cleveland before moving to Lake County 17 years ago.
Phyllis loved music, listening to musicians, having seen the Beatles, and enjoyed being with young people. She had lots of friends and relatives young and old and was very sociable. Mrs. Kendzierski retired from Mt.
Sinai Hospital, where she had worked as a receptionist. She was the former wife of Adam “Terry” Kendzierski; loving mother of Joyce L. Kendzierski, James W. Kendzierski, Richard E. (Cecilia) Kendzierski and Nancy Renee Medves (Bob Altpeter); and cherished grandmother of Andrew S. Medves and Megan L. Medves. Phyllis was preceded in death by her daughter, Terri Lynn Kendzierski; mother and stepfather Mabel (nee Broadwater) and Alexander Geddes.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave. , Willoughby, with a celebration of life and prayers at 6:30 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Pastor Brent Paulson will officiate.
