Obituary for Verna M Detzel Verna M. (nee Berwing) Detzel, 98, of Willowick, passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018, at Briar Hill Health Care Center in Middlefield. She was born Oct.

8, 1920, in Cleveland. Verna loved crocheting. She was the loving mother of Richard L. Detzel; cherished grandmother of Robert L. (Lori) Detzel, Richard A. (Lisa) Wilson, Renee Annette Putnum and Ronald L. Detzel; and great-grandmother of Sarah, Caitlyn, Rebecca, Brandon, Tyler, Robert and Matthew.

Verna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Lynn Detzel II; son, David R. Detzel; daughter-in-law, Ruth Detzel; parents, Walter and Mildred Berwing; and sister, Carol Berwing. Family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 12 noon Wednesday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave. , Willoughby, with a funeral service to follow at 12 noon.
