Mr. Purlon Parker, 87, husband of the late Seron McKenzie Parker, died Monday, December 31, 2018, at McLeod Hospice House after an illness. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton, with burial to follow at New Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM, Thursday, January 3, 2019, at the funeral home prior to the services and other times at the home of John Watson “Buck” Feagin, 3247 Green Road, Cades, South Carolina, 29518.

Mr. Parker was born on March 13, 1931, in Williamsburg County, son of the late Butler Parker and Vera Parker Feagin. He was a farmer and retired from Colonial Rubber. Surviving are his brother, John Watson “Buck” Feagin of Cades; and a number of nieces and nephews, including two special nieces, Judy McElveen and Doris Owens.

Mr. Parker was preceded in death by a brother, W.K. Parker and a sister, Ruth Miles. The family would like to thank the staff at McLeod Hospice House for their care and concern during Mr. Purlon’s illness.
