Homer Keith Swords, 74 Homer Keith “Buck” Swords, 74 of West Portsmouth died Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at his home. He was born January 25, 1944 in Portsmouth to the late Homer Lawrence “Mick” and Helena Ealey Swords. He was a former employee at Bob & Floyd’s.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Kevin and Donald Swords, and a sister; Rebecca Swords. Homer is survived by a son; Chris Swords, 7 brothers; Leroy Swords, Randy Swords, Herman Swords, Gerald Swords, Clayton Swords, Rick Swords, and Jeff Swords, 11 sisters; Frankie Piatt, Nancy Scarberry, Regina Carter, Roxanne Porter, Vivian Foster, Karen Swim, Tammy Hyde, Corita Barley, Pat Vest, Letitia Swords, and Gloria Fowler, along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Craddock Frye officiating and interment in Vaughters Cemetery.
