Rachael Cook Jolly, 78, of Dawson passed away at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital on December 29, 2018. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 31, 2018 at Harvey Funeral Home in Dawson. Rachael was born in Terrell County, Georgia on March 2, 1940.

She was a member of the Graves United Methodist Church. She worked as a Teacher’s Aide and Lunchroom Supervisor at Terrell Academy and as an Office Manager for Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, fishing, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

She was a lifetime honorary member of the Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes. Rachael was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Jennings Cook and Jessie Mae P. Cook Burroughs; and brothers, Steve D. Cook, Julian H. Cook and Donald P. Cook. She is survived by her husband of forty-five years, Jerry Dan Jolly; children, Lynn Hollister Tabb of Leesburg, Lisa Lash Page (Earl) of Dawson, Lynda Lash Howell (Mark) of Albany and Jerry David Jolly of Savannah; ten grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
