Ralph Lenford Kitchen November 20, 1924 – May 10, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Ralph Lenford Kitchen, 94, of American Fork, Utah passed away peacefully in his sleep May 10, 2019, with family by his side. He was born November 20, 1924 in Tridell, Utah to Joseph Levi Kitchen and Blanche Cook Kitchen. He served honorably in the US Army Paratroops in World War II.

Soon after returning home from the military, he served a mission in the Eastern Canadian Mission. Lenford and Reba married November 10, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple. Lenford has served in various callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed them all.

He is survived by all nine of his children: Linda (Clark Day), Neldon Kitchen, Deana (Dean Gunther), RaNae Moore, Nyle Kitchen, Dale (Launa) Kitchen, Dean (Shiree) Kitchen, Gerald (Cami) Kitchen and Laurie Knight. He is also survived by 37 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren, 1 great, great-grandson, and one brother, Weldon (Donna) Kitchen. Lenford was preceded in death by his wife, Reba, his parents and 9 of his 10 siblings, (Blanche, Lazelle, Virginia, John Levi, Frances, Belva, Melvin, Lea Mae, Norman, and Maxine).

A viewing will be held in his honor, Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, American Fork 1st Ward Bldg, 381 South 300 East, from 6 to 8pm. Funeral services will be at 10am, Friday, May 24, 2019 at the church. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 9:00-9:45am.

Interment will be at the American Fork Cemetery, 26 West 600 North. Online guest book at wingmortuary.com. We would like to especially thank our sister, Laurie Knight for the loving care she gave our father.
