If you didn’t know him when you first saw him, you sure knew him before you left. Ralph attended Church at Reedy Branch for many years and most recently, The Rock. He spoke highly of his Pastor and his Sunday School Class.

Ralph lived the majority of his life in Fairmont and later, next door to a special friend, Treva and her family. About 7 years ago, Ralph moved to Lumberton with his brother, Layton He spent most of his days sitting outside in his wing waving as friends drove by, which he really enjoyed. Ralph was loved by his new friends and neighbors in the saddle tree community.

He especially enjoyed people stopping by to visit and it seemed as if Ralph knew everybody. Ralph was known for being a kind and considerate friend. He loved working in the garden, shelling peas and shucking corn and was willing to help anyone who asked.

During the summer, he would spend days with his friends Clementine, putting up vegetable and visiting friends and family. A special niece, Jackie, would often come pick him up and take him to eat or just visit with him. A couple of years ago, Ralph took a trip to Maryland to visit his niece, Carol and her family had an awesome time.

He was so excited about his trip he talked about it long after. In every picture Ralph had the biggest smile on his face. That smile will be sorely missed.
