He was born in Robeson County on June 5, 1950 to the late Eddie Locklear and Flax McMillian and departed this life on April 30, 2018 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carol Jean Locklear; daughter, Carolyn Marie Allie; two brothers, Carl Jones and Wade “Pigeon” Thomas Locklear.
