Rance Parris, 86 years old, passed away peacefully in his home with family surrounding on July 11, 2018. He was born on October 15, 1931, and was a son of the late Rance and Sally Parris. He was also preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

Mr. Parris was retired from the maintenance department of Mission Hospital. Surviving are his wife, Peggy; four children, Jeff (Dawn), Robin (Jeremy), Chris (Carrie), and Doug; four granddaughters, Jodi (Jon), Sarah (Sean), Kady (Jeff), and Megan; six great-grandchildren, Landon, Reid, Benjamin, Dually, Gabriel, and Marley; and sister, Ruby Guy. Funeral services for Mr. Parris will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s View United Methodist Church.

Mr. Jeremy Canipe will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Parris, Chris Parris, Doug Parris, Steve Parris, Tony Black, and Scott Guy.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting the family.
