Lauppe, 61, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Tuesday evening, March 19, 2019 at William Newton Hospital. Born January 18, 1958 in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of Lacel Leroy and Helen (Cunningham) Lauppe. He was raised and received his education in Winfield graduating from Winfield High School in 1976.

After high school, Raymond began working at Binney & Smith Crayola Factory where he remained until its’ closing in 1997. He then began working as a custodian for the Winfield School District. He continued with the district until retiring in 2004.

He enjoyed watching tv, fishing, hunting, and spending the holidays with family. His family includes his sisters Reta Lauppe and husband, Terry of Grenola; Esther Voegele and husband, Danny of Arkansas City; his nephews, Justin Lauppe and wife, Heidi of Wichita; Clayton Lauppe of Arkansas City; John Lauppe and wife, Crystal of Winfield; and his niece Michelle Belle and husband, Mike of Tennessee. In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Lauppe and Carl Lauppe.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 25, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Burden Cemetery in Burden, Kansas. A visitation is scheduled for Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5 at the funeral home.

The family will greet visitors during this time. A memorial has been established in Raymond’s name for the American Heart Association. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
