Raymond’s Obituary Raymond Jung, 85, of Little River, SC peacefully passed away in his home, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, May 26, 2019. Ray was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jung and the beloved husband of Barbara Ann (Fucci) Jung, to whom he was married for 27 years. He was the loving father and sibling of his predeceased son, Michael and brother, Richard.

He is survived by his three cherished stepchildren, Susan Ward, Kristin and Scott Lewis and his grandchildren, Ashley, Meghan, Emily, Christopher, Justin and Amanda. Ray was born in Manhattan, NY on February 17, 1934 and lived most of his adult life in Fairfield, Brookfield, Newtown, and Bethel, CT. He was a military veteran proud of his Naval Service during the Korean War.

Following his service, Ray, a Physics Major, earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from New York City College. He was passionate about his work in aerospace. While at Hughes Danbury Optical Systems he was awarded the Chairman’s Award for team management of his Corporate Telecommunications and Contract Proposal Department, for work on the Hubble Space Telescope.

Ray was an avid fisherman, reader, enjoyed classic movies, loved ballroom dancing and travel with his wife. He was a humble man of great faith and integrity and had a generous heart. His family was most important in his life.

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be loved and remembered by all he held dear. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering between 5 and 7 PM on Wednesday, May 29 ,2019 at the home of Barbara and Raymond Jung, 176 Blackpepper Loop, Little River, SC 29566.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ray’s memory to the National Kidney Foundation at www. kidney.org .
