Raymond’s Obituary Northview~North Mankato Mortuary 2060 Commerce Drive Mankato, MN 56003 507-388-2288 Raymond Judson Forsyth, age 85 of North Mankato died Monday, March 11, 2019, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Mankato. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday March 18, 2019, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato. Visitation will be held from 2 – 4 p.m., Sunday at Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary and continue one hour before the service at the church on Monday.

Memorials are preferred to Holy Rosary Catholic Church or the donor’s choice. Ray was born January 15, 1934, to George and Kathleen (Terhaar) Forsyth in St. James, Minnesota. He served his country in the US Army and was part of the 82nd Airborne Rangers.

He was very proud to be a Paratrooper in the service. He was united in marriage to Mary Statham on February 22, 1958, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, enjoying 61 years of marriage. Ray worked for Hendley and Sons for over 25 years and later worked in Real Estate.

He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the North Mankato American Legion. Ray enjoyed racing in the area and was known as “Racin’ Ray” to his friends. He also loved to hunt, fish and later go kart racing.

Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Ray is survived by his wife, Mary; three children, Kathleen Forsyth of Mankato, James (Lori Prail) Forsyth of Janesville, John (Trudy) Forsyth of North Mankato; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sherry Kittleson; brother, Blair; and sister, Jean.
