Raymond L. Andersen, 58, of Rolling Prairie, passed away peacefully at 9:46 a.m., Saturday, November 3, 2018 in his home. He was born March 6, 1960, in Norwich, Connecticut to Lincoln and Alice (Knuth) Andersen. Raymond worked as a brick layer for 38 years and most recently with Larson-Danielson Construction.

He was always active in sports and enjoyed tennis, disc golf and also wrestled in high school. Raymond enjoyed craft beer, his Harley-Davidson Motorcycle, Cedar Point, as well as playing corn hole, pool and ping pong. He was known for making the best jalapeno poppers and loved his family and grandchildren dearly.

Surviving are his mother, Alice (Knuth) Andersen of Elkhart; two daughters, Karen (Ryan) Phillips of Elkhart and Kandace Coddens of Cassopolis, MI; two brothers, Tim (Debbie) Andersen of Deltona, FL. and Leonard J. Andersen of Elkhart; one sister, Evelyn (Dennis) Van Alstine of Elkhart; four grandchildren, Alexis and Ethan Jackson, Olivia Coddens and Kensley Phillips; and his loving companion, Mary Gentry. Preceding in death was his father Lincoln Andersen.

Cremation will take place. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd.
