Raymond Thirl Davis November 19, 1922 – December 25, 2018 Raymond Thirl “Doc” Davis, of Brooken, Oklahoma, died on December 25, 2018 while residing at Quinton Manor. Raymond was born in Brooken, Oklahoma on November 19, 1922 to Robert Davis and Ella Bush Davis. He attended Enterprise School and worked on the farms around Brooken and Coblentz Bottom starting at a very young age.

He earned the nickname “Doc” while working on the Coblentz farm attending to wounded animals. He married Ilene Madden on January 28, 1948 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They lived in either Brooken or Tulare, California most of their lives, raising eight children, and finally returning to Brooken in 1964.

Doc worked as a truck driver, heavy equipment operator, and managed cattle operations for others. Born: November 19, 1922 Death: December 25, 2018 Raymond is survived by: Three Daughters: Charliene Gosselin, and husband, Ernie of Brooken, OK; Laura Miller and husband, Tony, of Brooken, OK, and Barbara Eakle and husband, Michael, of Brooken, OK. Three Sons: Jim Fitzer of Brooken, OK; Robert Davis and Lisa Crabtree of Crowder, OK; and Gary Davis and wife, Belinda of Yukon, OK.

Two Sisters: Carrie and Carolyn Grandchildren: Suzanne Gosselin; Kim Shahan and husband, Steve; Tamara Hughes; Rhonda DeHollander and husband Bobby; Jennifer Fitzer; Justin Fitzer and wife, Mendi; Jade Fitzer and wife, Stephanie; Joey Fitzer; Trish McBeath and husband, Chris; Lance Miller and wife, Sasha; Lorie Lowrimore and husband Craig; Matt Eakle and wife, Mendy; Chanda Davis; Summer Long and husband, Allan; Kimby Gray; Chasity Satterfield and husband Larry; Stacy Rathbone and husband, Greg; Kevin Davis and wife, Ginger; and Ketih Davis and wife, Molly. 36 Great Grandchildren 6 Great Great Grandchildren Numerous Nieces and Nephews Raymond is preceded in death by: Wife: Ilene Madden Davis Son: Ronnie Davis Father: Robert Davis Mother: Ella Bush Davis Brothers: Argie Davis, Alvie Davis, Barney Davis and Sherman Davis Daughter: Erma Turner Son-in-Law: Ronnie Turner Daughter-in-Law: Georgia Davis He loved his family and looked forward to large family Sunday dinners, a tradition which spanned at least 40 years. He lived a long, strong and healthy life, needing assistance only in the last three months.

He will be missed. Graveside Memorial Services will be at 10:30 am, on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Brooken Cemetery with Gary Davis officiating. Inurnment will be under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler, Oklahoma.
