Raymond W. Unger, 79, of Frostburg, passed away, Monday, September 24, 2018 at Martinsburg VA Medical Center, WV. Born July 24, 1939 in Eckhart to Willard B. Unger and Nellie (Snyder) Unger; he is preceded in death by his father and wife, Martha “Bonnie” R. (Leatherman) Unger. Raymond was a U.S. Army Veteran.

He was owner and operator of Unger Construction. Surviving are his mother; daughter, Melissa Knapp and husband Kerry, Springfield VA; two granddaughters, Meghan and Hayley Knapp; sister, Sandy Unger and Charlie, Cumberland, brother, Dennis Unger and wife Sis, Cumberland, sisters in law, Nancy Leatherman, Barton and Barbara Kennedy, Hagerstown; brothers in law, Norman Leatherman and wife Dottie, Keyser, and Harold “Butch” Leatherman and wife Sis, Barton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home P.A., 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 7 to 9 pm.

A funeral service will be held at Durst Funeral Home P.A. on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 1 pm with Pastor Chris Skidmore officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
