Obituary for Reba Burch Mattingly Reba Burch Mattingly, age 97, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 9:35 PM, Saturday, April 7, 2018, at the Lucy Smith King Care Center under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. Reba was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Burch, second husband, Logan Mattingly, a brother, John Robertson, and a sister, Irma Jean Hook. Reba is a native of Missouri.

She met and married Bill Burch in Kansas after he served in the U.S. Army. They returned to Bill’s home in Evansville, IN in 1950. Later she moved to Henderson with her husband, who was the circulation manager for the Courier and Press.

Together they owner and operated Burch Electronics for 30 years. Reba was an excellent seamstress. She was a member of Airline Baptist Church.

She loved all types of music. Later in years she was a volunteer with Audubon Senior Corp. where she touched many children’s lives.

Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Jacqueline Burch and Janet Burch both of Henderson, KY 1 Son: Michael Burch of Highland, MD 1 Sister: Evelena DePreste of Springfield, MO 1 Grandson: Martin Burch 3 Granddaughters: Rachel Yates, Sarabeth Wibberley, and Lisa Hodson 10 Great Grandchildren Relatives and friends are invited to Reba’s Life Celebration from 12:00 noon on Thursday, April 12, 2018 until the service time at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday with Reverend Nathan Whisnant officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson.
