Regina Eleanor Skrobacz, 93, of Connellsville, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 18, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at Family Hospice and Palliative Care in Mt. Lebanon, PA. She was born October 23, 1924 in Connellsville, the daughter of the late Theodore and Wanda (Zimmerman) Gorski.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis A. Skrobacz and daughter, Regina D. Masciarelli (March 2, 2018). Regina was a long-standing member of the former Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville and was presently a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville. She was a member of the Christian Women’s Group, the Mozart Club, the Red Hat Society, and the Connellsville Senior Citizen’s Center.

Throughout her life she enjoyed music, walking, reading, sewing, and spending time in the mountains. After graduating high school, Regina worked for numerous companies, including Hagan’s Ice Cream Co., Burn’s Drug Store, Kaufman’s, and McCandless Insurance. Her favorite job, though, was being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Her family was her pride and joy and brought her tremendous happiness. She credited her longevity to her devotion to God and family and the company of her beloved Shih Tzu, Holly. Regina is survived by her children, Bernard F. Skrobacz of Ridgefield, CT, Beverley M. Kostek (James) of Glen Mills, PA, Anna M. Farrell of Valencia, PA, Joseph J. Skrobacz (late Catherine) Connellsville, PA, Germaine Thomas (Bradley) of Morgantown, WV, Gabrielle Sniezek (Andrew) of Hookstown, PA and Mark E. Skrobacz (Lori) of Freedom, PA; grandchildren, Michelle Skrobacz, Mark Cope, Justin Cope (Jessica), Lisa Graham (Dyron), Krista Masciarelli, Bethany Campbell (Bill), Jason Skrobacz (Morgan), Joseph Skrobacz (Stephanie), Zachary, Anastasia, and Matthew Thomas, Maryann Sniezek, and Kameron Skrobacz; and great-grandchildren, Nicholas Cope/Salustri, Juliana Cope, Eliana and Michaela Graham, Kolby, Samantha, and Reese Skrobacz, Casey and Kendal Skrobacz, Gunnar and Luke Skrobacz, and her dog, Holly.
