Mrs. Rena Estella Jessup Stewart, age 92 of Westfield, NC. passed away on November 26, 2018 at her home. She was born on November 28, 1925 to the late Jake and Ella King Jessup.

Mrs. Stewart is survived by two sons, R.J. (Sherri) Stewart of Greensboro, NC, Rickey (Sheila) Stewart of Westfield, NC. , three daughters, Linda (Ted) Gallo of Acworth, GA. , Kay Lawson of Westfield, NC.

and Faye (Jeff) Gibson of Reidsville, NC; 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Her hobbies included working with her flowers, quilting, word puzzles, and loved to travel. She was an avid basketball fan of UNC and while in school played basketball herself as well as track.

Her most pleasurable times were playing with her grandchildren and enjoyed rook with her family. She was preceded in death by loving husband, Richard Harry Stewart; parents Jake and Ella King Jessup; one son, Richard Junior Stewart: six brothers, Spencer Jessup, Jim Jessup, Bob Jessup, Warren Jessup, and Tom Jessup, and Glenn Jessup; seven sisters, Ada Hayden, Sadie Hooker, Rosa Hooker, Ann Newman, Carrie Hooker, Mary Jessup, and Eva Hooker; and a special Aunt Emma King. The funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday November 28, 2018, at Mount Herman United Methodist Church at 2:00 P.M. with Rev.

Keith Lawson officiating. Mrs. Stewart will lie in state from 1 to 2:00 P.M. at the church before the service. Interment will follow at Mount Herman United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Floral tributes will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 129 Veteran Drive, Pilot Mountain, NC 27041. The family extends a special thank you to Mountain Valley Hospice, and Palliative Care and Liberty Home Health for their loving care. Cox-Needham Funeral Home of Pilot Mountain (www.
