Obituary for Rev. John David Sluder Jr. Rev. John David Sluder, Jr., 71, husband of Elaine Sluder, of 212 Mauldin Mill Road, Seneca, passed away Friday, August 31, 2018, at his home.

A native of Seneca, SC, Rev. Sluder was the son of the late John David Sluder, Sr. and Nellie Louise Dyar Sluder. He was the owner and operator of Sluder Builders.

Rev. Sluder was the current Reverend of Heart Land Baptist Church in Seneca. In addition to his wife, Rev.

Sluder is survived by his sons: Alex Sluder (Christy) of Seneca, SC and Jason Sluder (Tracie) of Camarillo, CA; and eight grandchildren: Cameron, Connor, McKenzie, Adelynne, Chesed, Aletheia, Gianna and David. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 4, 2018, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home.
