Obituary for Mrs. Gwin Owens Cooper Gwin Owens Cooper, 69, wife of Jerry Kermit Cooper, of 733 Pickett Post Road, Walhalla, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018, at GHS Cottingham Hospice House. A native of Walhalla, SC, Mrs. Cooper was the daughter of Lera Gwinnett Owens and the late William Hampton Owens. She retired from Schlumberger and was a member of Welcome Wesleyan Church.

In addition to her husband and mother, Mrs. Cooper is survived by her son: Jerry Gregory Cooper (Heather) of Mint Hill, NC; daughter: Stacie C. Gillespie (Matthew) of Goode, VA; brother: William Max Owens of Walhalla, SC; six grandchildren: Jessica Haefer (Nathan), Evan Gillespie, Christa Gillespie, Andrey Cooper, Ian Cooper and Charlotte Cooper; and three great-grandchildren: Isaac, Peter and Caleb Haefer. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 6, 2018, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00–11:00 AM, Saturday, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home.

Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Oconee Hospice of the Foothills, GHS Cottingham Hospice House, Attn: Foundation Office, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672.
