Obituary for Mr. William Harold Gillespie William Harold Gillespie, 95, husband of the late Doris Evelyn Gillespie, of 201 Springdale Drive, West Union, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home. A native of Walhalla, SC, Mr. Gillespie was the son of the late John Adger Gillespie and Etta Duckworth Gillespie. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and later worked for the Oconee County School District then he retired from Jacob’s Chuck.

Mr. Gillespie was a member of Coneross Church of God. Mr. Gillespie is survived by his daughters: Debbie Gillespie and Tonya Gillespie both of West Union, SC. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Gillespie was preceded in death by his brother: Tom Gillespie; sisters: Ruth Cox, Pearl Scruggs, Jessie Bramlett and Flo Shaw.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 30, 2018, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, November 29, 2018, at Davenport Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted.
