Obituary for Mrs. Margaret Sue Ramey Queen Margaret Sue Ramey Queen, 89, wife of the late Ray Queen, of Mountain Rest, passed away Friday, November 9, 2018, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. A native of Mountain Rest, SC, Mrs. Queen was the daughter of the late Virgil Howard and Bessie Jane Brown Ramey. She was a lifelong member of Double Springs United Methodist Church and an original member of the Mountain Rest Community Club.

Mrs. Queen retired from the School District of Oconee County. Mrs. Queen is survived by her sons: Howard Queen of Mountain Rest, SC, Bill Queen (Sharon) of Grants Pass, Oregon, and Benny Queen (Mendy) of Cashiers, NC; and daughter: Margaret Hiser (Kenyon) of Annapolis, MD; grandchildren: Jay Lyle, Sarah Queen-Foster, Jason Queen, Logan Queen, and Cassie Queen; three great-grandchildren: Alivia and Adelaide Queen and Jake Foster; along with several special nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Queen was preceded in death by a brother: Bob Ramey; and a sister: Alberta Bowers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Double Springs United Methodist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Davenport Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either Double Springs United Methodist Church: PO Box 112, Mountain Rest, SC 29664; or to the Mountain Rest Community Club: PO Box 24, Mountain Rest, SC 29664.
